Then a question was posed, “But how can we best help priests of integrity?”

The Father raised his finger, and said, “First, you have to find them. Just because a priest has not molested someone doesn’t make them a priest of integrity. We cannot know from external appearance, or even behavior, what a priest of integrity is. Nor should we just divide priests into two groups: those who have abused children sexually; and those who did not. This lionizes those who have not earned it. The priest does not deserve to be lionized simply for not molesting, nor simply for speaking out, nor for supporting organizations like Voice of the Faithful – he shouldn’t be awarded for any of that – that’s just his job!”
